Rear Pads arrived and went to fit this morning. Should have been a ten minute task that took an hour.

New pads are way too wide. No way the caliper was going over them. decided not to force things and put the old ones back on

Now the ABS light flashes at me over 10mph.

Advice needed please

Pads too wide or too thick?

RE ABS

Ignition off when you moved the pistons back?

Paddock stand nipped the wires on swinging arm?

Wheel out & forgotten to remove sensor and pulled the wires?

Remove sensor & clean sensor end gently, thin smear of  appropriate grease in location hole. Refit,

I'm not a bhoyo.... But I remember when Eccles needed pads in bankska bistrica in 2006 he had to avoid fj pads as they were the same pattern but too tick.

Thanks Favs

Way too thick. They fit perfectly. I just removed the exhaust and caliper off.

WIll go look to see if the abs cable is damaged and fuses.

It's not something that happens by default. As in the light resets after a while?

Sorry to say but reset is as soon as ignition off.

If you pushed the pistons back with ignition on then it's a problem from the little I learnt about tdm abs.

Well I've been out for a longer ride and 10 mins in the abs light went out.

Complained to seller and suggested he sent the wrong  pads, awaiting reply.

Thanks for the comments

Glad the ABS light is out - did you test the ABS function some place safe (E Stop)?
