Up for sale at £650 is my 1993 mk1 TDM850 twin with 84,000 miles. It has a full MOT with no advisories. It had a top end refurb at around 46,000 miles and it still uses little oil. I've owned this bike since 2015 and, for its age, it's been very reliable and economical giving 50+MPG. I recently did 2,500 miles touring Spain and France with nary a problem.
It's not perfect, the main imperfection is it slips in 3rd gear. It'll work fine holding steady revs but given the beans, 3rd gear slips a cog. TBH, I'm used to it and just ride round it. However, I will include a replacement gearbox if the new owner wants to replace it.
I fitted the superior (IMHO) mk2a BDSR38 carburettors and airbox and it runs super smooth. It has a 2-1 exhaust (MTC) which I found a tad on the loud side, so I fitted an inline baffle which makes it much quieter but it probably loses a tiny amount of power.
It has Bluespot front calipers linked to a ZZR600 front master cylinder with SS braided brake lines all round.
It's been well maintained by me, New chain & sprockets around 3000 miles ago, also new brake pads and brake fluid, New bushes, Oil seals and fork oil and the tyres have done about 3000 miles, still plenty of life in them. Rear vrake disc was also replaced less than 3000 miles ago. The rear tyre has had 2 puncture repairs so the new owner may want to buy a new tyre. Engine oil and filter replaced around 2500 miles ago.
The speedo gave up working on my way back from Spain, I think I've fixed the problem but I will include a set of replacement low mileage clocks that work perfectly.
Extras include the Givi pannier rack and plate, these are slightly wonky due to me having a zero MPH off but they still work fine, Renthal bars are also very slightly wonky. The lip screen, mirror extenders, handlebar risers, chain oiler, satnav mount and tool tube are NOT included in the sale.
I need to make room for it's successor, a TDM900 so it has to go. I'm looking for £650. Any questions please feel free to ask, I've been as honest as possible in my comments, it's cheap biking and it'll serve the new owner well as a daily hack or for a weekend camping/touring adventure.
The bike is located in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. I may be able to arrange a courier to any English destination for £130.
