I will be riding Barcelona - Santander for the Plymouth ferry at the end of the month. I live in Mallorca where there are no toll roads. What is the best way to pay with as little hassle as possible?
Will be around Bristol and Wallingford(Oxon) way at times if anyone wants a cake stop. Probably a couple of weeks before returning through France.

When we do Spain/France we just use a credit card (with a backup). We keep tickets dry as they needs to be read as you exit a toll, which is simply payed by offering up the credit card to a reader.

When approaching the tolls aim for lanes marked overhead with a credit card / cash logo, though most now are card only. Be aware that the run-up to tolls are having more speed cameras installed!

N.B. When in a convoy of bikes have a "ticket master" who uses 1 credit card for all tolls, waving each person in turn through as their ticket is collected and kept by the ticket master, who at the end waves each person through as each toll is paid on the a single card. This saves loads of time. When the ticket master's bank statement comes through, payment is collected and crossed off the list of tolls. (DO THIS ONLY WITH TRUSTED PAYERS!)

N.B2. Some toll stations do not issue a ticket, but just expect you to pay via the card reader to open the barrier and allow you to traverser the next section of toll road. In such a case you will not be asked for any ticket when you next exit that toll stage.

Good luck on your journey.

Easiest = Credit card -  IIRC

insert ticket wait for toll charge to appear press the call/help button & shout MOTO when connected, wait for charge to change  - insert card complete purchase & remove card. :good:

Bugger me (not really) I never knew that and have been coughing up full pops for years. Will this work in both France and Spain?

We've been caught out with that too although some toll stations have a bike only lane sometimes.

Well, thank you to all. A great help.  Ill have to get organised for easy access to credit card and dry storage for tickets. Was thinking of ignoring the chance of rain on the way to the ferry - will be wearing a summer jacket which is basically a colander.  Some of the route will be on the N-260 - recommended as a motorcycle road but its marked as having tolls. First stop UK will be Sidmouth, then Bristol, Wallingford, Portsmouth, Cherbourg, Clisson, Gers, Tossa Del Mar, Barcelona.

That'll be a set of tyres finished.

It's a Givi Airflow. The mounts are bike-specific but they don't do one for the TDM. I made the mounts to suit and bought the screen and sliders as spares on eBay. Took a lot of time to get right. Sorry, I don't have drawings.
