A year ago today my mate n me went to Leeds for a weekend of sightseeing. We arrived at the premier inn Friday afternoon and parked the bikes round the back out of sight. One way in and out.
Saturday morning mates Suzuki was gone. Police informed etc.
mate said cant do owt about it so lets stay and see the stuff we had booked.
Moved my bike round the front and parked it 10 feet from reception.
We returned at 3:30 and I was chuffed I still had a bike. Went to our rooms and came down at 4:45 for a pint.
Trident gone. Broad daylight and place was busy.
Police looked at the cctv and said it took them 10 seconds to steal the Suzuki.
Nowhere is safe from professional thieves.

Many years ago as part of cambridge and District mag we did a demo outside a major shopping centre the Saturday before Xmas, a sports 400 (can't remember what bike it was) with chain through the wheel and over seat, van pulled up and 2 guys jumped out, lifted bike into back and pulled away.
Barely anyone noticed!
23 seconds it was stopped, we filmed it as a warning to others.
And with a fridge van the loudest alarm would be useless.
Good job it was all organised and no bike lost.

That’s bloody horrible. Hope it’s all sorted quickly. Me and the misses take our bikes to Manchester a lot and it’s always on my mind. I guess two bikes chained together is a bit more difficult.

Sorry Sam but it make no difference...want it have it and fks not given. Most folks won't do confrontation due to the steady diet of fear fed from the TV.

Very sorry, Sam. No doubt the police used the cctv to identify the crooks, the van reg, booked them and returned your bikes. Fat chance!!!

30 quid battery angle grinders from Aldi not helping! I can't imagine how it feels to loose a bike like that, I'd be gutted.
