I'm going up north of Norway with my now touring-rigged Tracer. In fear of a loong ride in pouring rain I extended the existing handguards with some alu and pvc. Didn't need them today on my 710km ride (yeah, pain), and hope they won' prove to be good or incufficient tomorrow either for the next 650km leg.
A Puig screen extender is added and works just sooo good. No wind on helmet other than some turbulence from surrounding wind. In tunnels - dead calm. A first for me.
So - a couple of Tracer 9 experiences from my first major day out with it:
- the engine is strange. Huge low down grunt - pulls right from 2krpm. But - in an overtake at 90kph, downshifing fom 6th to 4th has little effect. You need to go down another or rather 2 more to get the hilarious peak power I remember from the 600rrs. A mix of Mk1 bottim and ZX6 top. Strange... I downshifted to 4th to overtake at ~100kph an wanted to see what happened at higher rpms - round 150kph it really reacted!!! I really have to learn how to revail those 119bhp...
- the confidence this bike gives in corners is moving. I can't describe the feel in other words. I want to push limits when that's apprpriate, or simply enjoy a safe ride in pouring rain. Part of it is good suspension and geometry, the rest is Road 6 tyres.

Well, hope to put on another ~3000kms the next weeks😎

I went the opposite way with a smaller puig screen to reduce helmet buffeting for my Tracer 900 GT
