Best Of Both Worlds

TDM TAKES TOP HONOURS: The ZX-6R (left) excels only at crazy speeds and the GSX1100F (right) ties itself in knots away from fast A-roads, but the TDM (centre) can scratch, tour and commute with the best.

ALL-ROUNDERS tend to suffer when compared to specialist bikes, but the new TDM shows it doesn't have to be that way. You don't need to choose between a tourer or a sports bike - with the TDM you get a bike that can hold its own against the best in both categories.

The cutting-edge Kawasaki ZX-6R can beat it on the track. Suzuki's big softie GSX1100F is better on A-roads. But in the real world, most riders will find the cheaper TDM is two for the price of one.
