Is that the original TDM bar you have on there (it looks slightly higher)?
Are the guards only fixated near the risers or also at the bar ends?

I'll let go of my throttle when they pry it from my cold, dead hands...

Was going to be my question too - looks like no bar-end drilling is involved, which would suit me.
Bars look braced though - Renthals or something else non-OE?

Before I got my 1150 guards I was sent F650 (not GS) ones that did not attach at the ends. I did not like them as some cheapies I had tried previously bent in under wind pressure and pressed the brake lever. Nearly killed a pair of discs
All now a fond (very fond) memory. Maybe again some day.

hey dude...windshield ordered from Eagle Screen Australia...plus shipping and all, costing around $140SGD.
engine guard customised from local shop here..
yo...i used to have the GS1150 handgrds on my Africa Twin before..
tat was like 5 yrs ago...price of the handgrds were'nt so bad at tat time...u can get it for $94SGD from the BMW agent..but as today, since euro has been on the rise,it cost up to $140SGD...
The V-strom05 handgrds cost 100bux cheaper...and if i wanna be practical,it serves the same purposes....and as for myself,i felt its more edge than the GS...more sharper end...
just my 2cents

hey AJ I think your bike looks good, those handguards don't look cheap to me, just different, I may even get some for my bike to use in winter, as from the pictures of yours, they look like they offer a bit more coverage than the BMW ones, I for one apreciate the fact that you were pointing out another option for hand guards.

I dont think they look that bad either, I may have to go look at them "in the flesh" at the local Suzuki dealer,or one of the guys in the club has them fitted to his GSX1400.
I was looking at the hand guards fitted to the Buell Uyllese the other day but but the time you buy all the bit you were over the £50 mark.
I remember on the TDR250 I have many moons ago I fitted DT125 hand guards on to it they fitted no probs and gave good weather protection.

but well no dudes...its okie man...i was jus merely introducing to you guys who mite wanna a cheaper and different look of handgrds...which afterall, serves the same purpose rite...well it does...it won't flip even u rode to ur max..and i bet it wont...cos it is screwed on to ur brake lever and clutch lever screws...
so cheers guys...and thanks guys for the nice comments...at least theres someone appreciates.
peace...
