Really pleased for Danny Pedrosa, he responded great to win this race. And the Rossi pre-broken leg would've been in that mix at the front. Something missing from his racing now.

Villain, but in a good and exciting way, the way the collision differs from Rossi v Gibernau is the angle that the bikes came together, Marquez came from further back, therefore a bit faster and in less control, it was a bit more aggressive, i'd hate to see him get a yellowcard for it though

Marquez was in too fast and with his left front on the track, running wide. Lorenzo was on the racing line. A red mist error probably.

If it was on 4 wheels they'd call it exciting wheel to wheel racing. The guy saw a small opportunity and took it. That's the difference between the top riders and the average riders in my mind - seeing that little chance and making it work. Admittedly he would have looked a complete ar53hole if he'd have taken them both off.

The kid was dangerous, he took a chance without knowing the outcome
There is no room for that type of dangerous stuff on the track, it's not a contact sport

I have never raced but seeing it on TV, I thought Lorenzo should have expected an attack on the inside and protected that inside line, especially on the last lap, last corner.
Granted MM's own trajectory, and speed, was not going to allow him to regain the natural racing line, but ... the 'impact' was when JL tried to get back onto that line.
And there was another bike there.
Good for the spectators and TV ratings...

Possibly Lorenzo realising Marquez was coming through could have eased off a fraction and cut back on his inside when he ran wide and tried to outdrag him to the line but one thing is fairly certain is that the gloves are now off. On the subject of contact sport has anyone been watching the Speedway Grand Prix, those boys don't seem too averse to throwing their bikes at one another and with no brakes.

i think jorge left too big an opportunity and the young blood rushed to marquez's head , impetuous yes dangerous or deliberate blocking pass !! well i dunno .
he needs to take a good look at the video of it and learn for next time :-)

He'd tried to pass Lorenzo a couple of times earlier and almost tagged him on both occasions. I'll go along with the young bloodrush theory, he was lucky to finish the race imho. That said, he's got a lorra talent for sure.

Lorenzo is thinking "Shit, even my good mate Marco wasn't as hard as that!"
Got to give it to Lorenzo for keeping his mouth shut.
50/50. But Marquez will exempt himself from any further serious consideration if he pulls one of those again in a last corner move with his existing reputation.
So Marquez loses and everyone else gains.

The last corner is a double apex one - Lorenzo was aiming to cover the second part of the corner and Marquez came in too hot..................... mature stuff from Lorenzo, especially afterwards, immature but immense raw talent from Marquez - it's gonna be a great season

In MCN Lorenzo seems to admit lack of covering the approach ...
"... in Jerez I thought he (Marquez) was further back but he was closer than I expected. I didn’t make a defensive line. This was my mistake ..."
As Alan says, it looks like a great season
