Okay guys, I have spoke to Hannah at Renntec and she has agreed to run another batch of the Renntec Bash Bars that were the star of the recent Group Buy that RatHawk put together a couple of months ago. Just as the last time, we will need 10 committed buyers (not tire kickers) in order to get this buy going. The price is £55.00 + VAT (where necessary) + Carriage which I believe was the same as the last batch.

 

Presently, I have 5 interested counting myself from the ADVrider forum.....so let's see who is interested, post up here please!

Just remember that these are MK 1 bars, fitted to a MK 2. As you can see, the top hose is slightly compressed, but the flow is not restricted.

Ok, so, I thought we were ready to move ahead with this, but I have the US Distributer for Renntec in the loop now and I am hoping he will be interested in buying the 10 sets and stocking them...thus getting them to the 5 or 6 of us that are interested sooner than previously hoped. I will keep you posted.

Yes, but he only sells the rear rack for the TDM.....I got mine today :-)

 

I also received an email from Randy (motobars.com) this morning, he has discussed the crash bars with Renntec but has decided to not pick them up. So as I understand, he is out and we are back to the original "get 10 buyers and we will build a set".

I don't wish to hijack your thread, but you may have read in another thread that my engine gave out last week, so I am breaking my bike. There is a nice new set of engine bars for sale for anyone that wants them. The pictures are above, but I am going to Boston, MA next week on business, so if anyone in the US wants these, I could take them with me and ship from the US which will save in shipping cost. These were only bought in June, so are like new, although there is a little scratch on one side. When the engine gave out, the bike fell over at about 5 mph so nothing much. I am about to post in For Sale with pics.

At this point, I am out, I was able to find a set by alternate means that will keep me from having to wait on the 10 sets to be secured and then built (mine should be here tomorrow). e-mail Hannah at info@renntec.co.uk your information and include "Carpe-tdm.net REN10062B: Yamaha TDM850 engine bars - 2" in your subject heading. She
will figure your total cost including VAT & Shipping. She will also provide you with how to remit payment at that time.

Once all 10 sets have been spoken for, She will let me know and keep me posted on the build (approximately 4 weeks).

lol, well, I am planning to reverse engineer mine since they are "obsolete" so I can have a backup set in case I actually "use" these.
