Hi!

I know that the point of this motorcycle is not top-speed but traveling in high-speeds, but just for the history,
i have searched around (and tested mine) about what is the top speed of TDM900.

I acquired 215km/h in speedometer in my standard unmodified '05 model.

You? (please refer to any modifications that improved it's performance)

thanks and keep up the great work! cool.gif

226kph real GPS speed -didn't see the bike speedo - too busy looking for rabbits! but I'd guess 240+ (150mph) on the clock. Engine mods - see below...........

I get 129mph on the speedo of my, as it came from the factory 04 900.

This converter mph to kph tells me that is
207.59969999999998 kph

I'll do some mods when I get some cash.
But I think I'll start on the suspension before trying for more top end dry.gif

Still too busy watching for the rabbits JBX but it still makes power into the red band.
I don't do it often, in fact once just to see what it would do good.gif The previous owner had Carillo conrods fitted but I can't see any need for that as I don't normally use all the power - just the nice flat torque and good useable power between 4 - 6000.

140 mph (speedo) once down a slight incline

135 Mph once recorded on my GPS true speed on a long flat straight road

but mostly i am on the twisty roads at a lot more sensible speeds. wink.gif

I got 134 mph on the speedo but I ran out of room before my turn off the M-way. '03 900 and over-due for the 18k service. As in over 1k over-due. Soon, old thing, soon...

best speedo indication on me 7 year old MKII 850 was 131mph.

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. That'll be about 205kph/128mph in real speed Dante - the speedo's around 5-7% inaccurate - the R1 is even worse huh.gif

On a similar note, what are the 0 to 60 times for the tdm 850 and 900?
And from the point of view of bike control, are these bikes particularly easy or difficult to wheelie? I've just passed the IAM test (a course I'd reccomend to anyone) and having owned this fantastic bike a couple of months only, I realise i still have a lot to learn about it.

Never checked the times but if you launch with lots of revs it will be less inclined to wheelie...........use the torque at around 5000 rpm and you'll be struggling to see the horizon....................................so I've been told rolleyes.gif

There was an earlier posting mid-to-end of last year: some video footage of TDM wheelies up and down a European country road, but I can't find the link. Maybe one of the "memory men" (Wicky?) can help? Showed possibilities but didn't look very "elegant" as I recall.
